About the founders

Dr Lieven Raju Boedt: was born on 29 September 1970 in Mumbai. At the age of 2 he was taken up in an orphanage (St Catherine House, Andheri) and 3 years later he was adopted by a Belgian couple. Ever since that time he has lived and studied in Belgium. After his secondary school studies he spent 2 years at the United World College, Lester P. Pearson, on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada). In July 1989 he obtained the International Bachelor’s Diploma. After that he studied medicine at the Catholic University of Leuven. In 1999 after a 3 years’ course he also obtained the certificate of acupuncture with the Belgian Association of Acupuncturists in Brussels. He equally specialized in herbal therapies. For a number of years he was a practising G.P. in Belgium. Now he is working as a doctor in the addiction medicine.

In February 2005 he decided to return to India to start up a non-profit organization, which would provide rural families and their children, which were discriminated against, with health care and education. WFC had come into being! His mission: giving children the love and care they need to enable them to grow towards a psychologically balanced adulthood.



Dr. Anil K. Mehta: was born into a family of Vaidyas on 6 July 1954 in Jalndhar-Punjab. In 1977 he graduated in Ayurveda medicine and surgery at the University of Maharishi Dayanand Rohtak, in the northern Indian state of Haryana. Till 1980 he practised Ayurveda in New Delhi. That year he moved to the Netherlands, where ever since he has practised Ayurveda as a consultative doctor (specialization Panchkarma). He is also the founder/president and medical director of the European Institute for Scientific Research into Ayurveda, EISRA, and has published several books on Ayurveda and Panchkarma (in English, Hindi and Dutch). Dr. Mehta is co-founder of WFC (2005, New Delhi).
